It’s a new day in the battle with type 2 diabetes. This video is an introduction to my new focus on the battle against the type 2 diabetes condition.
If you have followed my blog in the past, you know that I have been in this fight for the past 13 nearly 14 years. It was in April 2007 when I first received the diagnosis of type 2 diabetes. I was immediately started on Metformin…
Over the past years, I have been on a variety of medications and injections. Nothing has seemed to help at least not for very long.
I am hoping to document my journey through videos. Here is the first of many…

Thank you for sharing your story. I haven’t checked all your past stories, but I hope I can learn from your perseverance here. My cousin also struggling with another type of disease for a long time. Can diabetes be totally cured? I hope you will be successful and healthy always in your battle against type 2 diabetes. Wish for your health.
Thank you for visiting our site, Alblue! I have high hopes for the absolute reversal of type 2 diabetes. Without hope, I would not share what I know and what I believe. Type 2 and type 1 are different, but I also believe that both can be improved upon. Thank you for the well wishes! I hope you will visit our site again and bring your questions.
Have a wonderful, healthy day!
Karin 🙂
First of all, I commend you for being so brave to talk about your personal struggle with type 2 diabetes. This will surely help more people than you could have ever imagined come to terms with their own diagnosis and hopefully follow your example to take charge of their own destinies.
A little off topic but the screen saver in your video at the beginning is just gorgeous! I thought it was a painting until the screen turned to black.
Anyway, don’t be hard on yourself about how you got to the point you are at. The only thing that helps is to focus on the future because it is the only thing we still have control over. I have struggled with weight gain for years and I am trying to learn to forgive myself instead of getting discouraged and giving up after I screw up. I hope you are able to stay more positive than I have!
Please keep the videos coming and you got this!!!
Thank you for visiting our site, Ashley.
I love that screen saver, too! I am not sure where it came from, but it is beautiful!
Your words are so encouraging to me. I hope that you and others will be encouraged by mine, as well, as I take this journey.
The biggest thing for me is sticking to something. I try for a while and if I don’t see the results I want to see, I slowly give up on the idea. I have recommitted to this and I am working hard against my internal critic that says it can’t be done or I will fail. A lot of self-talk going on! (I just hope I am not self-talking out loud!)
I hope you will visit again. I will be sharing recipes and menus as I progress.
Have a wonderful, healthy day!
Karin 🙂
Hi Karin! I admire your courage to share your experiences with type 2 diabetes online! As a young man, 21 years of age, I am sometimes oblivious to my sugar intake and your video served a a reminder to track my sugar intake. It did hit me like a brick when you said that many diabetics got so big to the point where they could no longer get up and walk. We really cant take what we have for granted eh. Thank you once again for sharing your experiences with diabetes
Thank you for visiting our site, Julian.
I am glad that my video brought you some awareness. We are never too young or too old to start taking good care of our health.
I hope you will visit our site again!
Have a wonderful, healthy day!
Karin 🙂
